P.1 Valentine’s Maths and Favourite Fruit Graph Work
12th Feb 2020
As it’s the week of Valentines, we thought we would add some LOVE to our number work. Primary 1 were able to count the number of hearts on each card and using tweezers, they picked up heart gems and matched them to the ones shown on each card. This not only develops number concepts, but also the children’s fine motor skills.
P1 pupils have also developed their graph work skills this week. On the IWB we made a table to show our favourite fruits. We then used this information to draw a graph. The pupils then worked in groups and used the Graph It base unit and cubes to practically make the graph.
Well done everyone!
