Derryhale P.S joined with their friends at St.Oliver Plunkett’s P.S to take part in the third session of their STEM programme. This time the children made a hand held generator which generated enough power to light a bulb. They then made battery powered cars which they raced in the playground. Both activities created a lot of excitement and gave the children opportunities to use tools as hammers and wire strippers, use equipment as star washers and gear wheels and to collaborate and share their learning.
