SOPPS Remembers Mairead Kerr
This morning was both a beautiful yet poignant morning for everyone at the school as we gathered together in St. Patrick's Church Stonebridge to remember and celebrate the many years of service and love that our deceased colleague Mairead Kerr gave to the school. The whole SOPPS team came together to help prepare and guide the pupils for the mass and everyone in attendance commented on the beautiful service. The turnout from the local community is also a testament to the esteem and high regard with which Mairead was held by everyone who was lucky enough to work with her, or to those who knew her in their daily lives.
We want to thank Fr. Nugent for celebrating the mass as well as Fr. Murphy and those in the parish who helped get the chapel and parish hall ready.
Thanks also goes to our parents/guardians for dropping the pupils off at the Pastoral Centre and to all of the team at SOPPS, including Mrs. Hendron our musician, for all their efforts to prepare for the day.
And of course, a massive thank you to the boys and girls who made the service such a beautiful occasion.
