The boys and girls of P7 are delighted to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair has arrived yet again for 2024 and just in time to help us celebrate World Book Day next Thursday 7th March. The P7s have organised a weeklong event to help celebrate the wonderful world of books in each class and the main details of the week ahead are as follows. Please read these carefully;
1. Whilst there is an online option to pay digitally, we encourage all families to pay by cash or cheque only as the school receives a greater 'cashback' on cash sales. The fair will be open from 8.30am - 9.30am each day.
2. To help manage the number of people visiting the fair at any one time, we will open it on the morning of Friday 1st March for parents/guardians of P1 and P2 pupils to view and purchase books.
3. Parents/guardians of P3 and P4 can visit on Monday 4th March; and
4. Parents/guardians of P5, P6 and P7 can visit on Tuesday 5th March.
5. For any parents/guardians unable to make it into school, pupils will be allowed to visit the fair during schools hours and can purchase books themselves on any day.
6. Find attached a short brochure of the 'top picks' that are available.
And finally, as World Book Day will be celebrated on Thursday 7th March 2024, we will host a fancy dress event on that day. Pupils can come to school dressed in the favourite FICTIONAL book character and we encourage you to have a go at making your own costumes based on your favourite characters.
