As a follow up to our Ditch the Dark event from last Friday, we were visited recently by the ABC Council road safety officer Gwen along with members of the local PSNI community policing team, to chat to the children about being safe when out and about on the roads. Everyone in P1-P4 was delighted to receive a Hi-Vis vest as part of their chat and we hope to see every child wearing their vest over the winter as they come and go from school - there might even be some Stars given out after the Hallowe'en for everyone wearing a vest into school (hint hint!!!).
Our KS2 pupils in P5-P7 then chatted with our visitors about Halloween and Firework safety. All in all it was a brilliant ilopportunity for us all to remember how to stay safe and we extend out thanks to the guys for popping in to visit us.
