Primary 1’s First Week Back At School
A big welcome back to all the pupils of St. Oliver Plunkett’s Primary School. A very special welcome to Sean who has started Primary 1 this week. He has settled in very well thanks to the kindness shown by the children in his class.
Primary 1 pupils have been very busy. They started the week making polar bears and learning about winter. They loved playing in the Arctic areas, exploring our igloo and making ice bergs for the water tray. They also enjoyed reading and making sentences using our High Frequency words. The girls and boys were introduced to the story of 6 and then were able to sort for 6 and make towers of 6 cubes. They also made a fantastic list of rules to help out ‘the old woman who lived in a shoe who had so many children, she didn’t know what to do’.
Such a busy bunch!
