Primary 1 Preparing For The Big Spring Clean
On return from the Easter break, the pupils in Primary 1 read a story about how our puppet, Naughty Nora, had dug up all of Discovery Dog’s plants and flowers. This inspired pupils to have ‘green fingers’ and to grow some plants to replace the ones Naughty Nora dug up.
The children have been busy planting cress seeds, pumpkins and sunflowers. Primary 1 are leading the school into the Big Spring Clean where members of the school, parents and the community are going to come together to clean up our school environment. We will be doing a general clean up, painting fences and sheds, tidying up our Sensory Garden as well as planting some vegetables and flowers. The Big Spring Clean is part of our application to gain ‘Green Flag’ status for our school so it is for a wonderful cause.
The date of the Big Spring Clean is Saturday 21st April from 9.30am. We hope as many families as possible can make it.
