P7 and P2 Collaborative Learning
P7 were asked by the P2 class to help them complete a very interesting class task. Our P2 class were challenged by their teacher to choose an animal, research it and produce a book containing facts about the animal. The P7 class were delighted to be able to support the younger children and lead them in their research. During paired reading sessions the more experienced children helped the younger children to decide what information was relevant and interesting enough to include in the book.
P7 discussed the layout of the information books and helped the P2 class to complete illustrations and write the content using their own words. The brilliant books produced were shared with the rest of the school during assembly.
