In what has now became a highlight of the school calendar, our P4 and P5 classes played in the end of year P4/P5 blitz between ourselves, St. John's Kingsisland, St. Peter's Collegelands and St. Mary's Maghery. Over 100 children of all abilities and interest levels participated in the blitz up at the Davitt's club and they all had a wonderfully enjoyable and active day.
Each school was presented with a Boy and Girl skills award for the players who demonstrated something a little special on the day - be it the most improvement, most positive attitude or best examples of sportsmanship as selected by the referees on the day.
A huge thank you to the teachers and helpers from the schools who attended making it possible for such a large number of children to get out and play in the sunshine. Of course none of this would have been possible without the help and support of the Davitt's GFC who continue to support the school in any that they can. The referees also gave up their free time to help out and again a huge thank you to them also.
