Primary 1 pupils took advantage of the weather and ventured outside for some fun in the snow today. Some children said it was the first time they had ever felt snow. First, we made tracks in the snow and followed each other’s footprints. After, we explored how the snow felt, the temperature of it, what happens when snow hardens (ice) and what happens when it melts (water). The children also enjoyed throwing snowballs at the fence and wall. Spontaneous learning through play at its best!
