Orienteering with Dave from Sustrans
Our P5/6 and P6/7 classes enjoyed some outdoor learning and fun recently when our good friend Dave from Sustrans came in to deliver an Orienteering lesson. In what will prove to be an excellent warm-up activity to the Treasure Hunt planned for our end of year Summer Festival and Colour Run, the pupils were tasked with finding various clues positioned around the school which in turn led them to solve the clues and puzzle. Everyone had a chance to practice their map reading and problem solving skills in the outdoor setting whilst at the same time getting their heart rates pumping. All in all a fabulous activity and one that the pupils thoroughly enjoyed. As ever, a huge word of thanks to Dave and Sustrans for helping to run the event.
