Educational consultant, Kate O’ Hanlon, held a very successful literacy workshop in school this week. The main focus of the workshop was on phonics and other word attack strategies. She discussed how spelling is taught in schools and gave parents advice on how to help and support their children at home.
Parents engaged in various activities and had opportunities to ask Kate questions. As usual there was an excellent turn out of interested parents.
