Learning Through Play in Primary 1
Primary 1 have been enjoying Play Based Learning around the topic of People Who Us. Pupils have been dressing up as various people who help out in the community as well as playing in our class hospital. This role play has continued to our outside play where children have dressed up as Fire Fighters, Police Officers and Paramedics. They have been using the bikes and cars as fire engines, police cars and ambulances. The children have also been exploring People Who Help us in our class puppet theatre. The children were also encouraged to make People Who Help Us using play dough.
We have began our sounds and numbers as you can see from our photos, we are using various learning tools to develop and consolidate this learning. We began learning some High Frequency words this week and the children have loved playing Mousie Mousie to learn their new words.
