Kindness Postbox and Care Home Visit
The pupils of Miss. Gallogly and Mr. Galvin’s P5/6 class were thrilled to create individualised and personalised Christmas Greetings cards to put in the Loneliness Network Postbox recently. These cards have been sent over to the residents of Colleglands Nursing Home and are undoubtedly going to be well received by the residents just in time for Christmas.
Following on from the delivery of the Kindness Postbox cards, the school choir and Tim whistle group visited Ann’s Care Home beside the school on Wednesday to perform their wonderful Christmas Carols and play a few tunes on the tin whistles. Yet again, the children were simply brilliant during their visit and we hope to call back up to Ann’s Care Home in the new year to continue our outreach programme.
We want to thank the staff of Collegelands Nursing Home and Ann’s Care Home for making us feel so welcome and of course to Catherine McCormack, for helping to facilitate the Loneliness Network Project.
