Internet Safety Week Survey Results!
Please check out the attached infographic of the Internet Safety Week Survey results. A huge thank you to everyone who spent the few minutes completing the survey and we will now use the information to help inform our Preventative Curriculum for the year ahead. There is a very clear misconception between pupils and parents/guardians regarding social media age restrictions. It is the firm belief of everyone at school that under no circumstances should children of primary school age be on these platforms. They are generally restricted to over 13s only but the various safeguards stopping pupils younger than 13 from using these platforms are almost non-existent.
We want to reiterate to all parents/guardians that the one and only fail-safe way to keep your children safe online is to provide adequate regular supervision of their online activities and make sure the boys/girls know that you will always be available to help them when needed. We will issue further support and advice throughout the year to help you with this. Thank you again for taking the time to participate!
