Hallowe'en Fancy Dress and Spooky Challenge Spot-Prize Winners
As we wrapped up our Hallowe'en activities prior to the start of the mid-term holidays, we enjoyed a fun filled fancy dress day. We awarded spot prizes to one boy/girl from each class for their costume and they are pictured here.
In addition to the fancy dress costumes, Mrs. Fearon also organised a creative writing and literacy based 'Spooky Hallowe'en Challenge' for each class. Pupils were encouraged to write a mixture of poems in various styles (acrostics, shape poems, caligrams etc.) or compose creative writing stories to chill the bones and spook out their readers. Needless to say, the work produced by every child in school was fabulous and is on display for all to see.
And finally, our P3/4 class performed an Irish poem for the whole school introducing everyone to the pucaí and taibhsí of Ireland. It really was a brilliant performance from all the boys and girls!
Maith sibh gach duine!
