Habitat World Around Us Workshops
We are hugely grateful to Habitat for Humanity Ireland for coming in to deliver a number of workshops recently with our KS2 pupils around the area of recycling waste and in particular focusing on the benefits of up-cycling and renewing items which would normally have been discarded and thrown away. The P5/6 and P6/7 classes had a wonderful time learning about how their actions, no matter how small, can all add up to making a huge difference and the pupils were full of new ideas for our Eco-Council to take on board in the coming days and weeks.
We want to extend our thanks again to Peter for his wonderful energy in the classrooms and to Habitat for Humanity for delivering the workshop and hope to have them back again in the future to help the pupils further develop their understanding of how to care for the environment.
