To tie in with with our World Around Us topic ‘Day, Night, Colour and Light’, we explored the children’s favourite colour of Gummy Bears. We linked this information to Handling Data in our Numeracy Curriculum and the children each complied a graph displaying the information.
We looked at the graph to discover, which colour was most and least popular and children could read the graph to answer questions such as ‘How many children liked the red gummy bears? etc.
As a treat for our hard work, we then got to eat the gummy bears that were not used on the graph, yummy!
