Both our boys' and girls' football panels performed brilliantly today in qualifying for the Couny Finals day of the Cumann na mBunscol Malachy McGeeney Medium schools competition.
Played in cold but dry conditions in Middletown, both panels put in huge effort and displayed fabulous work rate and skill to perform at their best.
The girls won three and drew one of their games to force a playoff with Middletown P.S. Thankfully in the playoff match they were able to keep a strong Middletown team at arms length to eventually run out worthy winners.
The boys played five matches and thanks to winning them all, qualified directly through to the next round. We are all delighted with each and every pupil for their effort and brilliant manners on the day.
A final word of gratitude to Mr. Gallagher and all at St. John's P.S., Middeltown for hosting the tournament and putting on light refreshments that were thoroughly enjoyed.
