On 26th and 27th March, P4-7 joined with their friends from Derryhale P.S to take part in The Game of Three Halves which was facilitated by Peaceplayers. The children met at two venues Ballyhegan Gaelic Football Club and Richhill Recreation Centre, where they played soccer, Gaelic football and rugby. The children not only learned new sports skills but also took part in fun activities which gave them opportunities to explore bias and stereotyping.
A celebration morning is planned on 17th May in The People’s Park where the children will play matches to showcase their new skills. All parents are welcome! More details later.
