Fun At The Fire Station
On Wednesday 18th October, Primary 1 children enjoyed a wonderful trip to Armagh Fire Station. We looked at all the equipment in the fire engine and had a tour of the entire station. We then got a turn using the hose to knock down a cone (and nearly a firefighter.) We also got to sit inside the fire engine and to try on the firefighters' helmets. Before we left we helped the firefighters fill the fire engine with water by putting the fire hydrant into the ground and attaching a hose to it and to the fire engine. Then we got to see the fire engine speeding into the station with the siren sounding. We were busy little firefighters and we had a wonderful day. We hope you enjoy our movie.
(*Not all children wanted to use the hose and pupils were split into 2 groups when using the hose so it wasn’t possible to get photos of all children using it.)
