P1/2 from Saint Oliver Plunkett’s P.S and Derryhale P.S met for two wonderful ‘Learning Through Play’ sessions, exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. We started by discussing and sequencing the story. Then the fun began.
We planted beanstalks, explored capacity using soil, built the Giant’s house in the clouds (play foam), made beanstalks using play dough and Cheerios and developed our fine motor skills by adding ‘beans’, using tweezers, to various leaves on the beanstalk.
