Fit2Help and Big Healthy Breakfast a HUGE success!
Our school was a hive of excitement, laughter and fun today as every child and staff member got to take part in the brilliant Fit2Help and Big Healthy Breakfast fundraiser. In what turned out to be glorious weather for the occasion, every boy and girl completed a full version of the Daily Mile, sat down to a delicious healthy breakfast of apple slices with an optional scoop of yoghurt all washed down with a bottle of water before then heading out into the yard for an amazing array of fun fitness challenges and events. The entire day proved to be a HUGE success and could very well become a regular event in the school calendar!
A special word of thanks to our sponsors at SIMPLY FRUIT who very kindly donated a fruit bag for every single pupil and staff member at the school. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast and the fruits pots were well received by. A special word of thanks also to our PE coaches who helped out and also our very own staff members who facilitated and organised what was an amazing day for the boys and girls. We would also like to thank those families who have returned their sponsor forms already and look forward to holding the prize draw raffle next Friday for the sponsor money collected.
And last but certainly not least, what can we say about the boys and girls themselves? They were a credit to themselves, their families and they made all of us at school very proud of how they behaved, participated in the events and got into the spirit of the day. This was epitomised the most by our wonderful Year 6 and Year 7 pupils who coached, directed and helped our younger pupils throughout the day. Go raibh maith agaibh go léir!
