Well what a night was had by all at the Friends of St. Oliver Plunkett's PTA Family Bingo event! The hall at the pastoral centre was packed to the rafters with close to 200 eager and ready bingo players of all ages.
The night proved to a be a massive hit with everyone in attendance and we were delighted to see not only pupils on the night but also a large contingent of friends and other community members - thus making this much more than just a school event but more akin to a whole community outing.
There were numerous winners of eggs, spot prizes and various cash amounts and the younger attendees were able to take part in novelty mini-games in between rounds of the bingo. Congratulations to all those who won a prize - comhghairdeas libh go léir!
A massive word of thanks to to everyone who attended and provided support to the PTA in their fundraising drive for the school. We also want to thank each and every PTA member, those who donated prizes and treats for the tuck-shop, the bingo caller and checkers and finally everyone who helped get the audio/heating/access to the hall ready in any way. It truly was a community event for us all to be proud of!
