We enjoyed a glorious day of healthy eating, getting active and learning outdoors today as we celebrated the 2023 Big Healthy Breakfast and Fit2Help? fundraising campaign. We started our day off with a delicious mixed fruit bowl (with optional yoghurt) for everyone in school, thanks to the support and sponsorship of the McCann family at Simplyfruit.
Next up we had our fitness circuits which lasted from 10.30 through to lunch time and these involved every child in school rotating around fitness stations to build their core strength and get their hearts pumping.
And to round the day off we also enjoyed a Daily Mile event walking around the school and taking the time to chat with friends, enjoy the sunshine and take in the lovely fresh air. And on top of all that, we still had the Davitt's coaching all day long and afterschool too. You can all expect the boys and girls to be well and truly exhausted this evening and we hope they all have a lovely weekend.
We want to thank Mr. Cullen for setting up all the activity stations and indeed all the staff for helping the boys and girls throughout the day. But the biggest word of thanks must go to our P6 and P7 pupils. They acted as team leaders today both in the canteen serving the healthy breakfast and in leading their groups through the fitness stations. Today was a wonderful opportunity to showcase their leadership potential and each and every one of the boys and girls can be proud of their efforts.
A final reminder that all sponsorship forms should be returned no later than Friday 8th October to be included in the prize draw raffle.
