Exploring Colour in P1
29th Nov 2020
As part of our WAU topic, P1 pupils looked at the artwork of Wassily Kandinsky. Each pupil then got a paper square and painted circles from the centre out to the edge of the square. We joined the squares together to make our own version of the Kandinsky print ‘Squares with Concentric Circles’. I think you’ll agree, the P1 versions looks just as good if not better than the original.
P.1 then revisited colour mixing. This time we used skittles and water and watched the colours mix to form a rainbow. The activity was finished with each of us getting a cheeky little skittle to eat. Who knew learning could be so much fun.
