Day to Remember as Sam Maguire Visits School
Monday will be long remembered and cherished by the boys and girls, and the SOPPS team too, as we celebrated a fabulous Orange and White day to mark the occasion of Sam Maguire visiting the school. The day started off with a bouncy castle surprise waiting for all classes alongside outdoor fun and games in the yard. Soon after break we also went to the canteen to enjoy some deliciously tasty Orange and White ice-cream and jelly before continuing with our fun and games in the yard.
And then, after lunch, the main event of the day kicked off with a tumultuous welcome for Sam Maguire as you can see in the photos and videos below.
A special word of thanks to Greg, Aileen and Peter for coming along to speak with the boys and girls and to everyone who helped in any way to make the day such a wonderful event for all the pupils. This includes those who helped by sending in flags and bunting and for the donation and help putting up the balloon arch.
Check out the wonderful pictures and clips below. We will also have more to post in the coming days!
