Choirs Sings and Turns On Loughgall Christmas Tree Lights
29th Nov 2024
Thankfully the bitter cold and driving rain of early yesterday cleared up in time for our school choir to take part in the Loughgall Christmas Light Switch-On ceremony. Having teamed up with the pupils from the Cope P.S. for a practice earlier that week, the children performed brilliantly on the night and the large crowd were treated to some lovely carols.
And for one lucky child from both St. Oliver Plunkett's and the Cope the excitement didn't stop there as they were then selected to turn on the lights. For Natalia from St. Oliver Plunkett's, this was a huge highlight of the night and something she will remember for years to come.
A massive 'Go raibh maith agaibh and Nollaig Shona' to both Rev. Pete and all at the LADIA organisation for inviting us to take park and a little extra thank you to our good friend Sean McCann for his donation of a reindeer which is proudly placed at the foot of the tree (and one at the school too for good measure!) And finally, another big thank you to all the team and pupils of the Cope P.S. who were so welcoming to ourselves and played the music on the night!
Maith sibh go léir!
