P6 and P7 carried out a number of experiments exploring the effects of oxidation on apples and how this can be prevented.
The children discussed the best way to carry out a fair experiment and decided on substances that may affect oxidation.
Apples were subsequently cut up and submerged in substances. Children monitored and recorded the results.
