Amazing Africa
Primary 3 and 4 have been learning all about 'Africa' during World Around Us lessons. Today the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring traditional African cuisine by making an African dish called 'Fou-fou'. It is a starchy meal that is made from different staple foods around the continent. Today we used cornmeal as our main ingredient. The children sat in a circle around the pot and had the opportunity to sample the 'fou-fou' by scooping it up using three fingers. This is how they traditionally eat this meal in Africa. We hope you enjoy looking at our photographs! It is clear that some of the children felt that 'Fou-fou' was an acquired taste! :)
