4th Apr 2025
A chairde, 03/04/2025
Please read the following information and notices carefully that will take us through the 50th Anniversary plans for next week.
- Swimming – Has now ended for P5 and P6. Well done to everyone on their progress over the term. The P7 swimming commenced on Thursday 4th April and will run for 8 weeks.
- Photographic Exhibition – The exhibition will close after Monday night’s mass so this weekend is the last chance to view the materials. Please try to get down to the Pastoral Centre to have a look at this fabulous showcase of our school’s proud history!
- Ulster Gazette Write-up – There is a full page spread in the Ulster Gazette showcasing next week’s events and it is well worth a read. Copies can be picked up from any local shop.
- Anniversary Mass –The mass is at 7pm on Monday 7th with food and refreshments in the Pastoral Centre afterwards.
- Choir/Instrumental Group and P6 - P7 Pupils – Pupils should be dropped off at the Pastoral Centre no later than 6.40pm on Monday, in FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM (jumper with shirt & tie, black shoes and navy trousers – no shorts or other trouser colours please!) Parents/guardians can collect the boys/girls once they have finished their performance in the Pastoral Centre. We expect this to be around 8.15pm.
- P5 Blitz – The P5 anniversary blitz will take place on Wednesday 9th April from 10am in the Davitt’s. P5 and P7 pupils need a packed lunch on Wednesday and any help with lifts to the club will always be gratefully accepted. Be at school from 9.30am onwards to transport pupils if available and back at the club for 1pm approx. for the return run.
- 70s Fancy Dress Fun Day – Remember that next Friday is a 70s themed fun day. This is a non-uniform day and we’re encouraging 70s themed fancy dress (staff and all included!!!). There will also be a pop-up tuck shop where pupils can buy some retro sweets. Our P7 pupils will run the tuck-shop and a maximum of £1 per child is plenty to spend.
- YMCA Dance – We will try to practice and perform a whole-school YMCA dance on Friday so please check out this video for the moves. https://youtu.be/vi9MiTJgocM
- Final Call with the ‘£50 for 50Years’ Fundraiser – Firstly, a huge thanks to everyone who has reached out to support the school with this fundraising drive. Your generosity has been outstanding! We will post an appreciation news article this weekend on our website and if there are any mistakes or omissions in the post, please let the school know asap and we will make sure they are rectified. Donations can be sent into school in an envelope or you can scan the QR code attached for a final chance to make pledge.
Thank you one final time for all your help and support to get to this huge event in the history of the school. We hope everyone has great fun throughout next week.
