We had such a fun Pancake Tuesday in Primary 1. Pupils helped to make the pancake mixture by cracking eggs, adding flour, pouring milk and mix, mix, mixing the ingredients together.
Mrs McKee added the mixture to the pan and children enjoyed the pancake either with butter and sugar or lemon juice and sugar. Children also got the chance to flip and catch a pancake.
To consolidate our knowledge of pancake making, the children completed sequencing and counting activities on the iPad and with a cut and paste worksheet.
We also learned a fun poem to remember the actions and order for making a pancake:
Mix a pancake,
Stir a pancake,
Pop it on the pan.
Fry a pancake,
Toss a pancake,
Catch it if you can.
